OUTREACH MISSIOINS
Outreach Missions has raised over $5,000 over the past several years to help support sending our Parishioners on Mission trips to Honduras, as well as bring in donations of clothes, school supplies, bicycles and medical equipment for Montana de Luz.
Many of our parishioners have been there more than once. Former pastor Tom Cadden traveled to Honduras in March of 2002 and August 2003 with pastor Romano Ciotola. Msgr. SAINT VINCENT dePAUL
This group meets the first and third Sunday of the month in Victory Hall, after the 8:30 AM Mass. Typical activities include preparing baskets of food and presents for needy families at Christmas time, preparing Easter baskets for needy families, visiting housebound parishioners, collecting clothes and household items to be donated to needy people in the community, collecting money to be spent on worthy charities. ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE
The American Red Cross comes to the parish once a year, in August, so that parishioners can donate blood. Healthy blood donors can donate blood every eight weeks to the Red Cross, but the visit to the parish is a convenience for donors of the area. Contact: Jeanne Bogen, 457-5160
BEREAVEMENT COMMITTE
Offers assistance to families recently lossing a loved one. Serves lunches and offers transportation and home-sitting if needed. Contact: Emilie Miller, 488-9208
FOOD PANTRY
ST. VINCENT de PAUL FOOD COLLECTION, on the third weekend of each month, collects non-perishable food items that are distributed to St. John's Food Pantry in Columbus and St. Francis Center, in McArthur, OH, on alternating months. Please bring your donations to the altar during Mass when the announcement is made.
RESPECT LIFE
Respect Life is a committee whose mission is to respect, defend and promote the dignity of every person at every moment in every condition of that person's life. Catholic social justice teaching is promoted. There is a concern for the unborn. There is a luncheon-baby shower to provide items for newborn babies. When new moms in the parish have a baby, the group will bring dinner to the home. The death penalty and euthanasia are opposed. Contact: Maureen Studer, 771-4843 READ MORE>
WELCOMING COMMITTEE
