Confirmation is performed every other year at Our Lady of Victory.
Eighth and ninth graders are confirmed after they have taken a preparation class in the Junior High Program of Religious Education. These classes meet from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Sunday evenings, twice per month. Classes are held in the Parish Center. The next confirmation celebration will be Tuesday, April 21, 2009. In addition to these evening classes, preparation includes the following required activities:
Meeting with candidate and parents – Commitment Ceremony
Meeting with candidates and sponsors
Day of Reflection
Practice
8th Graders complete the Confirmation Book during 8th Grade Religious Education Classes, even though they are confirmed in 9th Grade. 9th Grade Confirmation Candidates will participate in the Confirmation Extension Program which will meet once a month.
