RCIA – Registration forms and reading material are available for those interested in the RCIA class. Anyone interested in becoming a Catholic, or learning more about the Catholic Faith, is invited.
The R.C.I.A. Program begins in September and culminates at Pentecost. The candidates meet on Thursday evenings at 7:30 in the Parish Center. Parish members are encouraged to invite interested, non-catholic friends and neighbors to participate in the R.C.I.A. program.
Each year we recruit a new crew of sponsors who will then be able to be renewed in their own faith as they sponsor another in the program. Sponsors attend Thursday evening sessions with their candidates and help the new person become involved in the parish and informed about the various services and prayer opportunities available to them.
Sponsor opportunities for service in the R.C.I.A. are:
- Serve as a Sponsor for a Cathechumenate.
- Serve as scripture leader for dismissals.
- Provide refreshments.
- Organize the reception to follow the entrance into the catechumenate.
- Organize the reception to follow the Easter Vigil.
- Volunteer time and service to provide assistance to candidates (babysitting, transportation) to enable them to attend meetings, etc.
- Sew baptismal garments.
