The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, or OCIA, is for you!
(Formerly known as RCIA, Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.)
Your personal encounter with Jesus through the sacramental life of the Church begins with the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults and Children (OCIA).
OCIA is for those who have been away from the Church, for those Christians who are new to the Catholic Christian faith, or those who have never been baptized.
The OCIA section called Inquiry is a group for adults wondering whether God might be inviting them to embrace the Catholic Faith. Don’t be afraid! There is no judgment or obligation; just come, ask questions and meet others who are searching. Meetings are once per month.
The OCIA section called the Catechumenate allows adults to deepen their faith in Christ and prepare to receive the sacraments of baptism, confirmation and Eucharist after someone has attended some Inquiry sessions and has discerned they wish to embrace the Catholic Faith. These classes meet weekly for 2 hours. Weekly presentations, study, discussion, and prayer help participants understand and experience the specific teachings and practices of the Catholic Church.
Through this journey, a person is able to fully enter the sacramental life of the Church and become a disciple of Christ.
Registration begins through a conversation with our Director of Religious Education.

We also have OCIA programs adapted for children (7 yrs, and older) and teens who are unbaptized, or baptized in another Christian denomination.
